Directions to Saddleback Holiday Cottages

Broughton Beck, Ulverston, Cumbria

From the East:

Follow A590 to Greenodd Roundabout and turn right onto A5092 (towards Workington, Whitehaven). Follow A5092 for four miles and just after Gawthwaite turn sharp left onto the B5281. Argue with your sat nav! – do not turn left before the B5281.

Follow the B5281 for two miles towards Ulverston.   At the sign for Broughton Beck (the road dips) turn left into a minor road. Follow this road for 150 yards into the hamlet. Where the road turns right in the centre of the hamlet carry straight on down the no through lane for 10 yards for the property parking.

If taking the A590 beyond Greenodd into Ulverston….

From the roundabout on the A590 in the centre of Ulverston take B5281 (sign posted town centre, parking, information). (From the roundabout, the one-way system starts with Brewery Street (next to car park) proceeding into Fountain Street.) At the mini-roundabout take the second exit - bearing right signed B5281 Hospital, Grizebeck, and Broughton. Head up Soutergate and follow B5281 for 2.5 miles. Immediately after the Broughton Beck village sign turn right and immediately left. Follow the lane past the first group of houses, through the fields and into the next group. As the road turns left in the centre of the hamlet, turn right into a no through lane. The cottage parking is 10 yards ahead.

From the West (coast):

Follow A595 to Grizebeck and keep straight on along the A5092 (towards Kendal, Ulverston). Follow A5092 for two miles and just before Gawthwaite turn right onto the B5281. Continue to follow directions as from the East.
